A Healthy Cocktail Alternative
I don’t typically make many cocktails at home because they require so many ingredients and are full of sugar and calories. However, I recently discovered a combination that I love. Kombucha and liquor! In the past, I have made Kombucha ‘Mules’ with whiskey and ginger Kombucha. Summer is approaching and I really wanted something a little more light and refreshing. I really love lavender Kombucha, so I paired it with Seagram’s Gin. SO delicious. The best part is that it is quick and easy to make, so it is perfect for entertaining guests. Follow the super simple recipe below to make your own lavender gin cocktail.

Lavender Gin Cocktail
- 1 bottle of Lavender Kombucha
- 3 oz (2 shots) of Seagram’s Gin
Simply combine the Lavender Kombucha with Seagram’s Gin and stir. You don’t want to shake this cocktail unless you have a pretty large cocktail shaker. The kombucha is carbonated so you could end up with a pretty big mess on your hands.
What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is fermented tea. Technically it contains a small amount of alcohol because it is fermented (less than 0.5%). I love them because they essentially combine the health benefits of tea and probiotics. If you get kombucha made with black or green tea, you even get the added benefit of the caffeine. Most of them don’t contain a lot of sugar either. There are a lot of claims out there about the miraculous health benefits of Kombucha, but there is no evidence to back that up. I drink it for a mid-afternoon pick me up… and now with gin as a cocktail!
