Back to Business Casual
I have had a very long break from my business casual looks. The last few months of 2nd year we were able to wear causal clothes (aka yoga pants every day) for board studying. Then after boards, I had a couple of weeks off before I had to be back for orientation for third year. But now, its back to business causal every day.. and this time I will be out in the hospital.
Fishnets & Pants
Let me just start off by saying that I wouldn’t wear fishnets under pants in the hospital. I would keep this look more for blogger meetings and more fashion-forward business events. In the hospital, it’s best to keep things pretty minimal in terms of adding extra accessories. You can definitely show your style in the hospital! But just remember that you are there to treat patients. So while technically you are showing the same amount of skin with or without the fishnets, they have a historic risqué connotation… so just best to avoid them to avoid offending any patients. This look minus the fishnets would be totally acceptable for those of you looking for some fashion-inspo for the hospital.
However, for blogger/fashion meetings, I am all for the fishnets. I am LOVING the whole fishnets or patterned tights look under jeans or pants. Especially with a whole blackout look. It’s just a subtle way to add some style to an otherwise all black outfit.
Pop of Color
Because this look is completely black, I added a pop of color in my lipstick and a touch of color in my necklace. I love the way wine colored lip looks with the soft periwinkle blue necklace. Actually, any color paired with a deep wine red I love. But it really stands out against the all black canvas that I started with!
